My Christmas Wish List

Christmas is almost here and like many excited children across the UK, I’ve been busy working on my Christmas wish list for Santa. I’m pretty sure I’ve been good this year so I’m hoping at least one of these lovely treats I’ve got my eye on will end up in my stocking on Christmas morning.

Children’s Art Hangers – 1st Unique Gifts
I thought this was just adorable when I laid eyes on it. I love having pictures of Jake around my home but I honestly can’t wait until he’s old enough to create some drawings of his own. I don’t know any grandparent who doesn’t love to proudly show off their grandchildren’s art on their walls and this gift gives their doodles a proper place to be displayed.

Advent Rose Gift Box – Interflora
A total extravagance but I can’t help but love this charming gift box. It comes filled with one of my favourite flowers of all time, red roses, and presented in a stylish gift box that I know I’ll find a use for once the flowers are gone. Plus, the Advent Rose Gift Box includes a secret layer of chocolates on the bottom – perfect for when you don’t feel like sharing!

‘Ballerina’ Vintage Style Pink Slippers – Not on the High Street
Now, I’m usually the first person to point out that being a granny doesn’t automatically make you over-the-hill and I typically steer clear of ‘granny’ things like overcoats and slippers, but these adorable pink vintage-style ballerina slippers are just lovely! No matter how old you are, it can get very cold during these dark nights – so if I am going to get warm and snuggly, I want to do it in style!

MeMeMe Pure Indulgence Pamper Set – Find Me a Gift
I know that Christmas is about family and giving and such – but every now and then why can’t we all be a wee bit selfish and utterly indulge ourselves for once? This MeMeMe Pamper Set is how I would want to do it, with an afternoon of luxury hand cream, buffed nails and heavenly scents. I think I’ve been good enough this year to deserve a little treat for myself, haven’t I?

Pride & Prejudice Spineless Classics Complete Novel Poster – The Handpicked Collection
Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favourite classics – the romance, the drama, and who could forget Colin Firth coming out of that lake? This superb piece of artwork includes every single word of the great novel laid out with a clever silhouette design of the two leading characters.

Royal Doulton Set of four ‘Islington’ crystalline large wine glasses – Debenhams
One of my resolutions for next year is to have more dinner parties and these wine glasses would be a wonderful addition to any evening. Sometimes, it’s those little touches that make a party and I love the modern look to these designs.

John Lewis Towelling Robe
I’m ashamed to say I’ve been wearing the same old ratty dressing gown for about 10 years now. I keep meaning to get a new one but I can always find something else to spend my money on – like gifts for Jake! But this year, maybe Santa will decide it is time for a change and get me one of these fluffy white numbers instead.

Florence weekend duffel bag – Selfridges
Now Jake is getting older, I’m starting to think about holidays again and weekends away. You can never seem to fit everything you need into one bag so that can only mean one thing – I need a bigger bag! This Florence Weekend duffel bag from Selfridges has ample space for all my things, strong conformable handles and looks very stylish indeed.

Kenwood kMix Stand Mixer
I love baking and cooking up treats for the family but sometimes I just don’t feel I have the time to spend on making something. Rather than miss out on the fun, I would love one of these handy mixers to speed up the whole process and get me to the fun part of decorating and eating my treats much faster.

Vintage Brown leather armchair – Maisons Du Monde
I love finding new things for my home and having something unique that stands out from the crowd is an added bonus. Not sure if Santa can fit it in his sleigh but if he can, I would love this vintage style armchair for my living room. Imagine reading a book in this, curled up in front of the fire? Bliss!
